Obituary of Vijai Kumar Pasricha
Please share a memory of Vijai to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
With heavy hearts, we inform you that, on the evening of March 29, 2021, our father, Vijai Kumar Pasricha, peacefully left us to reunite with Bhagwan and our late mother, Saroj. Vijai was surrounded by the physical and virtual company of his loving sons and daughter-in-laws (Ajai, Raju, Suvercha, Deepti) and six grandchildren (Akash, Sachin, Rohini, Arjun, Nikita, Aryan).
Born in Ferozepur, Punjab to Sardari Lal and Kailash Wati Pasricha as the eldest of five children, Vijai's dedication, values and spirituality allowed him to succeed in every role he played - son, sibling, spouse, father, father-in-law and grandfather. Following a successful professional start in India and Australia, Vijai moved his family to Canada in 1966, where he completed studies at the University of Waterloo and embarked on a successful 22 year career at IBM. After retirement, Vijai pursued his diverse passions in homoeopathy, real estate, and investments to continue leading a fulfilling life for nearly 30 more years. Throughout his life, Vijai always put his primary focus on working with his life partner Saroj to do absolutely everything for the best of the family and to advance their spiritual development and awareness. He has been an exemplary role model to all on how to live a dignified, purposeful and impactful life.
Vijai is survived by his loving sister, Swedesh, and younger brothers, Surinder and Jatinder. A respected and cherished member of our community, he will be dearly missed by them, his many brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, and the many friendships he formed, in particular at the Vedanta Society of Toronto and Vishnu Mandir.
Sensitive to COVID-19 protocols, services will be held on a virtual basis only at Lotus Funeral Home and Crematorium (lotusfuneralandcremation.com), with only Vijai's children and grandchildren being in physical attendance.
A video zoom link has been provided to the family so others can join this service, by invitation only.
The family thanks Markham Stouffville Hospital and, in lieu of flowers, invites donations to be made to the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation at:
