FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bharath “Barry” Ganase. He was born on November 14th, 1964. Bharath passed away on May 1st, 2021 at the age of 56. He leaves behind his loving wife Kimberley, sons Brandon, Adam, and Cory, daughters-in-law Tina and Ashley, grandchildren Noah, Brycen, Amaya, and Liam, and dog Luna.
Bharath was the son of Mr. & Mrs. Boysie Ganase of Suchit Trace, Penal, Trinidad. He will be fondly remembered by his siblings and in-laws Ken (Gemma), Kendrick (deceased) (Sylvie), Harro (Indra), Lolly (Parro), Capil, Geena (Geewan), Soma (Pandey), Indra (Kelvin), and Ena (Kampta). Bharath will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Bharath began his career at the Canadian National Railway on July 29th, 1985. He was a dedicated, hard-working individual who spent most of his career as a freight car mechanic. Bharath worked nights and yet would still come home with the brightest smile, spend time with his family, and find the energy to play the sport that he loved. Bharath was a beloved cricketer and very well-known across the cricket community. He will always be remembered for his batsmanship, recording six sixes in one over of six balls. Everyone knew he loved to hit the ball with such power; he aimed for the ball to leave the park, never having to run. As he would say, “work smarter, not harder”.
Most of all, Bharath was a loving, compassionate and caring person. He was often referred to as “dads” “uncle,” or “big bear”; he was a father figure for many. Bharath will be remembered for his sweet, kind soul. He would not hesitate to give you the shirt off of his back. The art of giving was one of his true passions; seeing others happy is what made him his happiest. The legacy of Bharath Ganase will live on forever through the many stories that will continue to be shared by all that he loved.
