Our beloved Lilouty (Iris) Singh passed away peacefully at North York General Hospital, in Toronto, on May 9, 2021 at the age of 77. Born on November 12, 1943, in Uitvlugt, West Coast, Guyana. Loving daughter of the late Dean Thakurdin and Rajpattie Persaud. She is lovingly remembered by Kamta Singh, her dear husband and life partner of 61 years. Beloved mother to her children Padmini Singh, Khem Singh, Nalini Ramraj and Shalini De Souza. Loving mother- in-law to Lolita Singh, Ram Ramraj and Stephen De Souza. Cherished grandmother to Rajin Khelawon, Sanjeev Khelawon, Vishal Khelawon, Reshana Singh, Sarena Jagga, Kishan Singh, Sachin Ramraj, Anisha Ramraj and Safira De Souza, and grandsons-in-law Tarek Shokr and Shawn Jagga. Proud great- grandmother to Riyad Shokr, Zarah Shokr, Taj Jagga and Maya Jagga. Iris is survived by her siblings, Harry Persaud, Kavita (Baby) Mangru, Krishna Persaud and Sandra Lachmana. Iris lived a happy and fulfilling life surrounded by her loving family. She was loving, caring and energetic and would brighten your day with her wonderful sense of humor and laughter. She was extremely devoted to her religion and culture with many talents including dancing, singing and being an amazing cook. She was always optimistic, full of joy and we appreciate the wisdom, the love and great memories she has left us with. We, her family, friends and community will miss her dearly.

Our building will be able to accommodate the following under these guidelines set out by the Bereavement Authority of Ontario (BAO) and Public Health.
The Restrictions are as follows:
• Maximum of 10 guests allowed on the property at one time.
• No Line Ups Permitted
• No Cycling of Guests
• One Entire Group at one time
• Attendances need to be scheduled by appointment only
• Screening and logging of guests must be done by our staff
• Intervals of 15 minutes between visitations mandatory for disinfection of facilities and continuous cleaning of surfaces throughout.
• As always face masks and cleaning hands are mandatory as well as keeping social distancing of 6.5 feet.
Please note that for religious services that we cannot accommodate any intervals and will require only a maximum group of 10 for those ceremonies.
These rules are mandatory and Lotus Funeral and Cremation Centre Inc needs to follow these for the safety of your guests as well as the staff.
Visitation and funeral services are attended BY INVITATION ONLY. Please contact the family if you wish to attend, NOT the funeral home. We can also provide families with zoom video options for them to invite friends and family that may not be able to attend in person due to these restrictions.
