Obituary of Rowena Jakrali-Tooriram

Rowena Jakrali-Tooriram, aged 52, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 27th, 2022 at 7:00 AM surrounded by her loving husband, Dennis, her daughter, Sabrina, along with her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Jasmine. Rowena was born on February 2, 1969 in Enmore, Guyana. 12 years later, she started her life in Silver Spring, Maryland with her beloved parents and seven older siblings. By the age of 22, Rowena and Dennis got married and soon after started their family together in Toronto, Canada. On July 15, 2021, Rowena and Dennis celebrated the joyous milestone of 30 years together. Rowena will be remembered as a selfless, strong and resilient woman that left a meaningful impact on the lives of everyone she encountered. A wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunty, cousin and friend, her comforting presence and positive spirit will forever be missed but will always remain in our hearts and memories. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For those who wish to celebrate the life of Rowena Jakrali-Tooriram, we will be having a visitation on Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 6:00-9:00 PM at Lotus Funeral Home, 121 City View Dr., Etobicoke, ON M9W 5A8 *Due to COVID-19 protocols and capacity restrictions, we kindly ask that you remain mindful of the time when paying your respects in order to accommodate for all of Rowena’s family and friends to have the opportunity as well. The remaining seats will be on a first come, first served basis.
