On Friday, May 13, 2022, Hardat (91 years old) died peacefully at Centenary Hospital in Scarborough, Ontario after a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Sybil (Manohar) who predeceased him in 1988. He was the father and (father-in-law) of Rudy (Patricia Quinn) of the UK, Indira (Edward Latchana), Pratima (Scott Kim), Deva (Anne Bacchus) of Ontario, grand-father of Dr. Nicholas Latchana (Jessica Link) of North Carolina, Jerome Latchana of California, Andrew and Natalie Pawarroo of Ontario, and great grandfather of Emma and Adalyn Latchana of North Carolina. He is survived by his siblings Bisnauth Pawaroo Hemwantie Mohabir, Devica Paray, Vadwatie Kharag, and Kuldip Pawaroo. His brothers, Charles and Dr. Laldhar Pawaroo preceded him in death.
He was born in Bengal, Corentyne, Berbice, Guyana on March 27, 1931. In 1990, he immigrated to Toronto, Canada to be close with his children, grandchildren and siblings.
He nurtured and enjoyed many great friendships in Toronto and he touched many of us by leaving an enduring legacy of kindness, humility and generosity.
