NAGEWADIA, MANJULA
January 10, 1935 - September 6, 2022
Manjula Nagewadia passed away peacefully, in Mississauga with her loving family by her side on September 6, at the age of 87. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Amritlal; her children, Indu, Ashok (Varsha) and Varsha (Bharat); her grandchildren, Geeta (Gerry), Nikin, Kajal (Dane) and Rajiv; and her great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Sarina, Arya and Taia.
She grew up in East Africa and was the last surviving of six siblings. After marrying Amritlal in 1953, Indu was born shortly afterward followed by Ashok and Varsha. She loved her time in the area surrounded by the beautiful scenery. After periods in India and England, she relocated to Mississauga with her family where she would live for the rest of her life.
Manjula absolutely adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Known as 'Ba', she cherished the time she spent with them and loved cooking her delicious meals and treats from scratch. Her smile lit up any room she entered and she was always so quick with the best sense of humour. A caregiver from the start, she ensured everyone around her was always welcomed with love and open arms. Ba somehow remembered everybody's face and name no matter how many friends would come around. As she got older, her greatest joy was time spent with grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always giving the best snuggles and sharing wonderful stories.
Visitation will be held at the Lotus Funeral and Cremation Centre, 121 City View Dr., Etobicoke, on Sunday, September 11, starting at 3:00 p.m., with a Service of Remembrance at 3:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trillium Health Partners at Credit Valley Hospital. Condolences can be left on the Lotus Funeral Home website.
