Obituary of Rajandaye Ramoutar

Rajandaye “Vashti” Ramoutar passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday December 17^th 2022 at the age of 57. She was the fourth of 7 children born to Rambachan Sooknanan and Raoutie Sooknanan on April 25^th 1965 in Tunapuna, Trinidad and Tobago. She got married at 18 and had two daughters Savitri Singh Sookdeo and Nandini Kavita Graci soon after. She migrated to Mississauga, Ontario in 1988 and lived happily with her siblings, their spouses, nieces, nephews and daughters. Vashti met and fell in love with Davanand Ramoutar and got married August 1995. Davanand moved to Ontario in 1997 and they had their son Nikash Devindra Ramoutar in 1998. Vashti and Dave spent the following years creating a happy and loving home for their children. Vashti doted on her children adoringly and spent most of her time reading, playing volleyball and cricket, and spending time with her friends and family. Vashti was the light of her family and was known to be innocent, loving, kind, and pure. Many described her as a special soul. Vashti is survived by her husband Dave, brothers: Vedesh, Mukesh, Sudesh, Haresh, Satesh Sooknanan, sister Omati Despot, children Savitri Singh Sookdeo, Nandini Kavita Graci and Nikash Devindra Ramoutar and furbabies Marley Singh and Paisley Graci. Vashti will be dearly missed and forever in the hearts of those she touched.
