Obituary of Ramoutie Sookhoo
It is with profound sadness that the family of Ramoutie Sookhoo announce her peaceful passing
on Saturday January 21, 2023 at the age of 97.
Born in Sisters Village West Bank Demerara Guyana on July 29, 1925 she came to Canada in
March 1976 and made it her permanent home.
She is predeceased by her husband Mahadeo, her loving son Kenneth and all her siblings,
Bindraban, Savitri, Gobin and Jeewa .
Ramoutie will be forever missed by her children, Babs (Victor), Leela, Krishna (Nadira) and her
very loving daughter-in-law Paro.
Her grandchildren Diana (Rajeev), Andrea, Jennifer, Michelle, Andrew and Kevin will always
hold her memory close to their hearts. Ramoutie also leaves behind a legacy of 7 great-
grandchildren, Alexander, Rian, Jaiden, Mason, Laiya, Aaliyah and Kowa.
She will be dearly missed by her many loving nieces and nephews and her loving memories
will be cherished.
The family would also like to give a special thank you to the nursing staff (Cottage House) at
Bloomington Cove for Ramoutie's tender loving care over the last 8 years.
