Obituary of Lindamulage William Anthony De Silva
It is with a heavy heart and great sorrow that we announce the passing away of William Anthony De Silva on January 28th, 2023 at the age of 84.
Beloved husband of 58 years to Donita, father of Niroshana, Nishamanie, Ruwanthie and Rukshini.
William, fondly known as Anton, worked as a Charted Civil Engineer his profession took him to many countries. Anton was an avid athlete and sportsman during his school days at St Sebastian College, Moratuwa and later at University of Ceylon, Colombo. He was the Engineering Faculty Athletics captain and won multiple awards in the 5000m event.
Anton’s greatest pleasure was his family and spending time with them. He was a devoted father and a beloved grandfather. Anton was an ardent Catholic with a profound love for his Maker. We will forever miss him and hold him close to our hearts, cherishing the happy memories of his warm and gentle love.
May his soul rest in peace. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a worthy charity in Anton’s memory.
