I will never forget you Brother Dion! You were a huge part of my childhood, I remember coming over to the apartment in Chalkfarm and playing on your waterbed! You lived your life without any regrets and did what made you happy! You always had a smile on your face and that is how I will always remember you! Fly high with the angels Brother Dion! Love you and will miss you!

Dion was a person with a lot of love for family, generous and would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. At any family gathering he was the life of the event. Even though he lived most of his life in Canada, his roots as a Caribbean man were deep, he loved the culture and especially Guyanese food, music and just being a Caribbean man. He loved his swag, always being stylish and confident, gold chain around his neck and those outrageous durags.
Dion enjoyed fishing, which he did a lot of when he lived in Alberta. He also enjoyed watching hockey and collecting hockey memorabilia. He also collected Marvel comics which were all for his children.
For the last 20 years he suffered with drug and alcohol issues that he tried to fight daily. He loved his children and all his family, however some of his life decisions was blurred by substance abuse disease which affected his family life. Dion deeply regrated this, he tried his best of rectify the things in life that affected his family. He was a proud grandfather and spent as much time with his grandson Kaden as much as possible.
Dion lived his live on his terms without the confinement of a specific domicile. He wanted to be free to be able to come and go as he pleased without having to report to anyone. The only negative thing in his life was this disease that eventually too him away too soon from his family. He will always be remembered for the good he did in this world, which will overshadow the negatives experiences he endured.
Dion touched many with his pure love, never expecting anything in return for his affection. He will be dearly missed by everyone that walked the path of life with him.
Thank you for sharing your life with our family Dion. I will cherish the memories we have of you and your time with us.
