Hi
I’m Nicholas Ragbir, Rodney’s son. It was tough losing him but he is in a better place where there is only peace and this happens every day to people all around the world. So He was the best dad I could have ever asked for. Fly high dad I will miss you and love you.

I was a neighbour of Rodney about 22 years ago.At that time Rodney was installing home security systems. I was there when he first got the idea to be a fly a plane. It was amazing how he achieved the impossible. He slos the house and moved to another country.During that time I searched the net and found newspaper articles about him. A few time I called his company and made attempts to reach him. Recently I tried again and the receptionist said he was in Brampton. I called him right away and invited him to my place. I offered encouragement. But, I never heard back from him. I called and texted he told me he be over soon. Then I didn't hear. Today I got up and decided to search for him again. And I got a shock. The man was the nicest human being I had ever met. He was always smiling. I'm very hurt I didn't get to see him. I didn't know about the severty of his medical condition. Very sad news.

I'm a distant relative of Rodney, he was the co pilot on a trip I made to Tobago back in 2015. He trained a lot of future pilots for Caribbean Airlines. He was a kickstarter in many peoples' careers, including mine. I learned about his death yesterday at a wedding as one of his former student's informed me. Farewell Captain

I was about 10yrs old when Rodney was born and I remember that day. Rod was born at our home (Mohan grandparents) and his grandmother my mother gave him the name Rodney. Rod was an adorable baby and grew up to be an outstanding, successful and handsome young man. Rod never called me Aunty because we were so close in age and most of the times would call me Ching Chung because he thinks I look Chinese. He sure had a way of making people laugh. It’s hard for me to believe that he moved on to the other side but I know he’s with Mummy and Pappie and I’m sure he’s making them laugh.
I will miss you a lot Rod and I will cherish all the memories I have of you. You sure were an outstanding person.

When I was a child, I called Rodney my favorite cousin because on any visit he always made the time to take me aside and have a private chat with me - to see how I was REALLY doing, if anything was hurting my heart or soul - and it made me feel like I mattered and was special.
I remember a trip to Canada when I was a child and he told Suzy to take me to the mall and buy me ANYTHING that I wanted - boy was that a great day for me (but I was responsible so didn’t over do it). He spoiled me on that trip.
As adults life’s twists, turns and responsibilities didn’t let us spend time together like that again but no one knows how much those chats meant to me.
May he find eternal rest, peace and love in the arms of the Lord.
From Dawn

We will forever be grateful for Rodney's loving, thoughtfulness and very generous attitude. He was always happy, a truly happy soul and nothing was a problem for him. He truly went out of his way to help us settle in when we first came to Canada. Picked us up at the airport, sourced accommodations, organized rental lease, took us around shopping, enrolling kids at school and also checked in frequently to ensure all was well. God bless you Rod, you are truly an amazing soul. We will always love you.
