On behalf of the Tulsie Ram (Kidd) Brijbassi Family, I would like to extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to Aunty Violet and children and the entire Seecharan Family.
Although Bhoj, or more affectionately known to us as “Uncle Joey” is my cousin, we called him uncle out of respect and admiration for his many achievements as he was a few years senior to us.
Uncle Joey adored and respected our mom and dad and was always present and supported us at our family events. He was one of the stalwarts of the Seecharan and Brijbassi Families and his passing will not go unnoticed. History will remember him as a key figure in our families for generations to come.
We have may fond memories of Uncle Joey from his speeches and well wishes at family celebrations to just simply having a chat and sharing thoughts with him. As his health started to decline in recent years, we saw less of him as he was unable to attend our celebrations, but he was always in our hearts. I was fortunate to have visited him and family last October.
My most vivid memory of Uncle Joey was his return from his studies in Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic). As a young boy, I was impressed as he spoke a foreign language and described his travels beyond our imagination.
Uncle Joey, may your soul rest in peace as you continue your journey, say hello to all our loved ones who have passed this way.
Until we meet again.
Your cousin Jagdesh (Toshi) Brijbassi and Family.

To us-My self, my brothers and sisters-he was our 'uncle'. My late Mom's 'brother'. We grew up in Guyana calling him uncle Joey. His brothers and sisters grew up with my Mom as their big sister, and it has always been that way. I remember vividly he would come to our house on numerous occasions @ 68 village calling my Mom sister Sybil. The love and respect he showed towards my parents was truly remarkable, so much so that I don't think it could have been more profound if they were biological siblings.
RIP Uncle Joey.

Our condolences to the family. Bhoj will always be remembered as a dignified person and a trusted advisor. He had a generous spirit. He will be missed. My yearly trek to see him was always something to look forward to. He made me smile as he caught me up with the news on Guyana and the people we knew in common. Another such as him will not pass this way again. May he rest in peace.
