Obituary of Lalmohan Ghose

Lalmohan Ghose, February 2, 1945 – January 23, 2024

The Ghose family of North Etobicoke, Ontario is grieving the sudden passing of Lalmohan Ghose after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease and associated complications.  He will be greatly missed by his wife Sramika of 49 years; daughters Mona and Luna (Greg); and granddaughters Elora and Emily as well as his extended family in India and around the world. He passed away a week before his 79^th birthday,

He worked in various industries as an electrical engineering technician and ended his career in the field of environmental remediation, at the City of Toronto’s Water and Wastewater Treatment facilities in downtown Toronto.  He had a passion for science and innovation in engineering fields, especially those related to environmental technology, sustainability and aerospace. 

Lalmohan immigrated to Toronto, Canada from Calcutta, India in 1967 and was dedicated to preserving Bengali culture within Toronto’s growing  Bengali community including Bangiya Parishad, the Bengali Cultural Association and Toronto Kalibari.

The family would like to invite you to funeral and prayer services:

- Location: Lotus Funeral & Cremation Centre located at 121 City View Drive in Toronto, ON

- Date/Time: January 30^th, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

For those who cannot attend in person, virtual arrangements will be announced on the Lotus Funeral & Cremation Centre website (please see below). 

In lieu of flowers, the family would request donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada and Let’s Talk Science.
