As we reflect on the life of our beloved Aunty Babi, memories come rushing in, painting a beautiful portrait of the extraordinarily unique woman she was. It's a task I never anticipated having to undertake at this early stage of life. Yet, as they say, life has its own way of unfolding, guided by forces beyond our understanding, catching us off guard whether we feel prepared or not.
Aunty Babi was the heart and soul of our family—a true matriarch whose presence infused every gathering with warmth and joy. From orchestrating family dinners to planning outings and simple get-togethers, she effortlessly assumed the role of leader, and we all followed her lead. Her love for cooking was legendary, and her culinary creations never failed to bring smiles to our faces. I can still recall the aroma of her dishes filling the air (especially her curries).
But it wasn't just her culinary skills that made Aunty Babi special; it was her infectious personality and zest for life that truly set her apart. Her love for all things sparkly was evident in her rotating jewelry case back home when she was in Guyana—a testament to her admiration for beauty and elegance. She lived life boldly, unapologetically being herself, and her vibrant spirit touched everyone she met. She was in essence the mother hen of the entire family, even to the adults. Aunty Babi's absence leaves an irreplaceable void in our family, and she will forever be missed.
As I reminisce, I'm filled with a profound sense of gratitude for having known such a rare and remarkable woman. Though her physical presence may be gone, her spirit lives on in the countless memories we all shared together.

I'm saddened to hear about the passing of Rajashree ( Bobbie, as I recall her by that name). I was her immediate supervisor at the Olga Byrne Youth Center of the Guyana Responsible Parenthood Association, in Guyana. She will be remembered for her passion for teaching, her respect for students and the staff, and also for the professional manner in which she carried herself ( attire). Personally, I won't ever forget her kindness towards me when she learnt that I was taking my (then 14 months old son who is now 26 years old), to have heart surgery in the USA. Rest in peace, 'Babbie'. My 'son' and I would like to express our condolences to Mr. Ryan and the rest of the family.

I have known Babi for many years and our friendship continued despite both of us leaving Guyana and living overseas. We usually chat for long time about all sorts of stuff particularly reminiscing our time together when we both taught at the same school.
We had so many fond memories together. I will always remember her laughter and her positive outlook to life despite the struggle she endured.

Babi was not only my cousin, but also my very good friend. She was someone who was positive, passionate and outgoing. She was a fun loving person who was always full of life. She never let anything or anyone stand in her way of what she wanted. Babi was a beautiful person inside out... Her advice to me was when leaving home always dress as though you are going to meet someone for the first time. (especially like she did with her beautiful red lipstick!) My memories of her that I will mostly miss is our long talks, laughs, cries and messages...

My dead Babbi. Our journey in life together took us down thorn path as well as paths filled with beautiful flowers. We shared so many amazing memories together. I remember Roopesh and I coming over every Friday night to play cards. We laughed so much, many times begging for the jokes to stop or our belly will burst with laughter. I remember us going to the movies together, the long drives that were always so fun and filled with jokes and laughter. I remember us all watching boxing on a small 14 inch black and white TV, so much laughter and fun.
There were times when it was not all laughter but during those times you always emerges with a smile.
I honestly believed this was going to be one of those times but it seem God has other plans for you.
I remember you are never without Lipstick, u love wearing Lipstick.
Babbi have touches many lives in a positive way, helped many along their path.
My memories of you are endless, I can filled this entire book.
Babs, may you achieve eneteral bliss and rest in peace. You will forever live in our heart.

B. I love you my first memory of u was when you cooked wild eddo and give me and Gai food to eat lol. Our mouth scratch so much mom and dad was so mad. Our memories are so much to bare ,times we fight times we laugh ,times we slept together talking about things until mom and dad scold us to sleep , the mangoes dropping on the roof we run down to get it with torch light , I wearing your clothes , sleeping by you , Our special talks , My kids with you, your special dhal , our last talk a few days ago ..... where you were worried about me ,how I'm going to deal with this. Bobby and us shared beautiful, funny memories. I remember my brother and I going over to their houses every Friday and Saturday night to play cards. Just the four of us. We laughed so much. The many movies we watched together, the many driving trips we went on. Everyone moment spent together, there was a ton of laughter and fun.
I remember Bobby loved her Lipstick. She is never without it.
I can go on and on of the many beautiful years we spend together.
Why, you Babs, so young and so much to live for.
You will be missed tremendously by all the lives you have touched in this earth.

Dear Raj, I will always remember that first day at college when we didn’t know a soul and I walk in to the room to see a familiar face. Our lives were connected from that point. we spent the next two years by each other side, helping each other study and work on assignments. And who can forget those late night calls most nights. The last day we spent together was in the tent roasting while the rest of the family went paint-balling. We talked and laughed for hours. I will cherish those memories forever❤️ I will miss you my friend.
