Our beloved Seelochnie Seeratri Sukhdeo sadly passed away on Saturday, March 9th, 2024 at the age of 62 due to congestive heart failure. Seelochnie was born in Leguan, Guyana and immigrated to Canada at the age of 11.
Seelochnie was strong, but she had a kind gentle spirit and a generous loving heart. For her family came first and she was always giving of her time whenever and wherever needed. Her devotion to family and friends was central her identity and she readily showed affection and her winsome smile to friends and strangers alike. She had a very soft place in her heart for animals, especially her cats. Gardening and nature were an integral part of her life, echoing her younger years exploring the fields and seashore of Leguan Island. She was an avid photographer who relished capturing important moments in life, pictures of family, friends and landscapes. A renowned cook, Seelochnie took immense pleasure in sharing her delicious cuisine with others.
She is survived by her parents Jai and Oma Sukhdeo, siblings - Latchmie (Dave), Drove (Tara), Eshwari (Robert),Kuntie (Ross) and Indira(Gregg). She will be remembered with deep love and affection by her many nieces and nephews: Annand (Michelle), Alanna, Malini, Ravi, Shalini, Tara, Emily, Mitchell, Stephanie DeCiantis (Matt), Kristie Di Cristofaro (Tyler), Aidan; grand nieces and nephews: Maya, Halle, Leo, and Domenic; Uncle’s Mohan Sookdeo (Tan), Markandai Sharma (Chandra), Hemchand Sharma (Celia) and Chanda (Pammie) along with her whole extended Sharma and Sukhdeo families.
Her loving nature and the blessings she gave will held in the hearts of all those who had the pleasure of her company and friendship. They will be forever grateful for her being in their lives. May she rest in peace.
