Obituary for Roman Anhala Drepaul (Romie/Romeo)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roman Anhala Drepaul, lovingly known as Romie/Romey or Romeo, who left this world on October 14, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on June 20, 1963, in New Amsterdam, Berbice, Guyana, Roman had a rare ability to light up any room he entered, leaving a trail of warmth and joy in his wake.

Roman made strangers feel like family, ensuring that everyone he ever met felt valued and important. His laughter was infectious, and his jokes had a way of melting hearts, reminding us all to find joy in the little things. He was a constant source of support, always extending a helping hand to anyone in need, and his selflessness knew no bounds.

To know Roman was to experience the essence of love and life itself. He had a gift for turning everyday moments into cherished memories, making each person feel uniquely special. His legacy of kindness and compassion will live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him.

As we say goodbye to this extraordinary soul, we invite everyone who loved Roman to come share their memories and celebrate the beautiful life he lived. His spirit will forever shine brightly in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers we ask you to make a direct donation to Trillium Health Partners where Roman spent his last few days here with us.
