It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Mrs Parmpal Kaur Gill
(Dhaliwal) of Aurora, ON at the age of 76. She leaves behind her husband of 53 years Surjit Singh Gill and
her two sons Harinderjit/Min (Brenda) of Barrie, ON and Ravinder/Rick (Lindsay) of Keswick, ON.
Survived by her sister Raminder Gill of Vancouver, B.C. Loving grandmother to Jadyn and Brogan. She
was predeceased by her parents Sartar Baltej Singh Dhaliwal of Sedha Singh Wala, Punjab, India and
Narinder Kaur Gill of Galib Kala as well as her brothers Nirbhai Dhaliwal of Sedha Singh Wala and Gurlal
Dhaliwal of Vancouver, B.C.
She leaves behind sisters-in-law Romi Dhaliwal and Charanjit (Ajmer) Samra and brother-in-law Harbans
(Rani) Gill, cousins Jagdeep/Tony (Simi) Gill and Gursharan (Rajendra) Raghow. Dearly loved by many
nieces and nephews.
Growing up in Sedha Singh Wala, our mother was an accomplished athlete, competing in the Punjab
provincials and tournaments through India in field hockey. Following their marriage on Christmas Day,
1966 they immigrated to Canada. With her husband, Parmpal owned the IGA store in Mount Albert, ON
for 25 years. She enjoyed working and getting to know many residents of the town.
Her biggest achievement, and what she was most proud of, was being a mom to her wonderful sons.
Min and Rick were her world. She loved hearing about their activities and supported them
unconditionally.
Service will be held on Friday June 28 from 12:00-2:00 p.m., Lotus Funeral and Cremation Centre, 121
Cityview Drive, Toronto, ON. Reception to follow.
