Obituary of Rabbia Sahai
It is with great sadness that the family of Mrs. Rabbia Sahai announces the news of her passing
on Saturday March 25, 2023 at the age of 84.
She is predeceased by her parents Azamat and Nour Mohamed, brothers, sisters and Ganesh
Persaud.
She is survived by her husband, Deochand Sahai.
She leaves behind her six children: Bibi Jaikaran (Ram Jaikaran), Sharen Persaud (Ravi Nayar),
Farrah Naraine (Suresh Naraine), the late Zorina Persaud (George Persaud), Sharmain Kumar
(Bala Kumar), Sharada Persaud (Dave Yadram), Gavin Sahai; and grandchildren Savita Jardine
(Ryan Jardine), Vanessa Jaikaran, Marcy Yadram, Sheena (Kishan Seeram) and Kevin
Persaud, Sasha and Misha Nayar, Rhea, Emily and Karina Kumar, Ali-John and Amir Ziaie,
Ateeyah as well as two great-grandchildren, Zane and Giada Jardine.
She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews: Ashraf, Haroun, Sandra, Sharida, Farouk,
Bibi, Hakim, Doreen, Zeena, Aleem, Hardat, Reena, Rafie, Liz, Shelly and Qamar.
As well as Indra, Mahabir, Ivor and Kay.
She was a devoted and nurturing mother, grandmother and aunt to her loved ones. She will be
remembered for her kindness, laughter, humor, listening ear, sense of fashion, and
independence, which she valued greatly.
She will be missed dearly.
Her family extends their heartfelt thanks to Althea, Shabana and Raquiya Ali, Kassim, Faneeza,
Ramesh and Dera Persaud. As well as the nurses and doctors at Humber River Hospital whose
support and care was greatly appreciated.
