Obituary of Marcia McKenzie

Marcia Mckenzie was born in Jamaica, on February 5, 1962  and passed away at age 61 on Thursday, November 30, 2023 in Toronto, Canada. 

She was one of a large family born to Willoughby D. Silvera and Lucille Doyle and had 3 children of her own. She is survived by her remaining siblings, her three children, her grandson, nephews, nieces and their children.

Marcia was a bright and talented student throughout her school career.  She had a love for languages and a desire to work as a flight attendant to utilize her skills. She was fluent in English, Spanish and French and desired to master all “Romance Languages.”  Her focused shifted after immigrating to Canada in 1991.  She pursued studies as a Paralegal to secure a future as she thought about having a family.  Marcia completed her studies and eventually became an Office Manager.  She was a dedicated worker in the legal community for many years during her time in Canada. 

She was a person of faith, had a childlike spirit, and enjoyed time with life long friends and colleagues as she could. In the last two years she had ongoing health issues with diabetes and heart problems. Her faith was a source of comfort and guidance to her during this time. 

Marcia was hardworking, loved the Lord, cared about her family, and loved to use her intellect to help others. Her early and untimely loss will continue to be felt by her family, friends and all who knew her.

She was a believer and one of her  favorite scripture’s was “The Lord is my strength and my shield.”  She is now one with Lord and may she rest in peace.
