Dear Helena and Marko,
We are so sorry for your loss and from our own experience, we know exactly how you feel. After meeting Alex's parents, upon coming to Canada, our friendship with Alex started. Later we lived in the same neighbourhood, Marko was born and Toza became his godfather. Alex was always happy to share his experience and knowledge about all kinds of things. Our time spent together will be in our memories forever.

On paper Sasha was my mom’s cousin, but he was a brother to her and always uncle Sasha to me. I have the most amazing memories as a child together in Toronto, NY and beyond. But as I got older I got to know him as the fascinating man he was: a devoted dad and husband, a computer “geek”, audiophile, lover of all things Serbia, BBQ maestro, coffee perfectionist and so much more. I feel incredibly grateful for our memories together in Belgrade last summer and will always see him happy belting folk songs with the brass band at the dinner table. Those who know him know he referred to himself as a geek (with immense pride) but to me he’s my coolest uncle Sasha.
Helena and Marko, Joe and I send our deepest condolences during this unimaginable time. We love you so much and always here as your family.

I'll really miss Sasha, my godfather. Thinking back on our times together, Sasha was always so full of life and fun. He taught me to fully embrace the things I loved, even if they made me a "geek." I feel lucky to have had him in my life, from our family dinners, struggling to stay up for New Year together, and perhaps most importantly, the excitement of watching Star Wars in the theater with him!
Sasha was an amazing guy, and I'm grateful for all the memories we made. Rest in peace, Sasha. You'll always be remembered fondly.

Alex was one of my closest friends, and he will be sorely missed. I will cherish the memories of us playing in the courtyard in Pancevo.
